Studying to be an equine therapist will be beneficial not only to those looking for a career in this area, but also to those who wish to better understand a horse's movement and lameness issues.

Helen J. Woods has been teaching her Equine Therapy Course for over 15 years and students have successful practices in Canada, the USA, Ireland, Israel ,Dubai, and Australia! 

The course includes:

• Anatomy of the Horse
• Correct movement in all gaits
• Conformation: correct and incorrect-causing lameness and stress
• Lameness: overall view of general types encountered, lame and unnatural movement
• Homeopathy for horses
• Horseshoeing overview: examining correct shoeing practices and those that will cause lameness
• Spinal Manipulation - maneuvering of the vertebrae and positioning of structure
• Saddle fitting and proper padding for English and Western disciplines
• Massage and acupressure, stress points, and proper  use of the hands
• Study of personal case histories
• Practical experience - uses of Chiropractic and Massage (hands-on training)
• Review of student case histories and charts for a six month period after course
• Business management, advertising, servicing customers successfully

To Apply to the Equine Therapy School:

To apply, please forward a complete resume, including all past accomplishments, years involved with horses, proof of completion of grade 12 or equivalent (mature students over 19 who do not have their grade 12 will be considered, but must include photo ID or other identification that reflects that they meet the requirements) medical number and any information that will help us with the selection process. Please include a deposit of $1500 (Canadian) with your application.

Helen J. Woods is now registered under the PCTIA. PCTIA enforces standards for private educational institutes and offers protection for students (more info...).

Cost of Course:

The Equine Therapy course will not only qualify you to start your practice as a Equine Therapist, it will also provide 6 months of post-educational support to you in your business. The cost of this course is: $6750 Cdn.
