Equine Therapy Course
Studying to be a horse therapist will
be beneficial not only to those looking for a career in this area, but
also to those who wish to better understand a horse's movement and
lameness issues.
Helen J. Woods has been teaching her
Equine Therapy Course for over 11 years and students have
successful practices in Canada, the USA, Ireland, Israel and
Australia!

The course includes:
- Anatomy of the Horse
- Correct movement in all gaits
- Conformation: correct and
incorrect-causing lameness and stress
- Lameness: overall view of general
types encountered, lame and unnatural movement
- Homeopathy for horses
- Horseshoeing overview: examining
correct shoeing practices and those that will cause lameness
- Spinal Manipulation - maneuvering of
the vertebrae and positioning of structure
- Saddle fitting and proper padding for
english and western
- Massage and acupressure, stress points,
and proper use of the hands
- Study of personal case histories
- Practical experience - uses of
Chiropractic and Massage (hands-on training)
- Review of student case histories and
charts for a six month period after course
- Business management, advertising,
servicing customers successfully

Therapy School:
To apply, please forward a complete
resume, including all past accomplishments, years involved with horses,
medical number and any information that will help us with the selection
process. Please include a deposit of $1500 (Canadian) with your
application.
Helen J. Woods is now certified as a
"Private Career Training Institute of BC" by PCTIA. PCTIA enforces
standards for private educational institutes and offers protection for
students (more info...).
Cost of Course:
The Equine Therapy course will not only
qualify you to start your practice as a Equine Therapist, it will also
provide 6 months of post-educational support to you in your business.
The cost of this course is: $6500 Cdn.
Students are required to obtain three text
books at their own expense for the course (they are available from most
online retails). The text books are:
